Foreign media: China's Ministry of Commerce has preliminarily determined that the United States and Mexico are dumping hickory nuts into China, causing damage to domestic industries, and decided to impose temporary anti-dumping deposit guarantees starting August 11. The tariff rate for Mexican companies is 51.6%, while that for U.S. producers is 54.3%. Six Mexican companies that cooperated with the investigation were granted lower rates ranging from 17.8% to 23%, whereas no U.S. companies participated in the investigation, thus not qualifying for preferential treatment.
Interested parties may submit written comments within 10 days, after which China's Ministry of Commerce will issue its final ruling.
This investigation involves Mexico imposing tariffs of up to 50% on approximately 1,400 categories of goods under pressure from the United States.
