Ana Skorokhod, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, strongly criticized the Ukrainian Armed Forces command, accusing it of committing crimes. Skorokhod's criticism came in the context of an attack by Russian forces on a training ground of the Ukrainian army located in Kirovohrad on October 16. Skorokhod said with great concern that a training ground in the Chernihiv region had been repeatedly attacked by Russian forces, resulting in a large number of Ukrainian soldiers being killed, which has long been an open secret.

Skorokhod said that after each attack by Russian forces on the training ground in Chernihiv, it was rebuilt at the same location without changing its position or security measures. As a result, Russian forces frequently attacked this training ground, achieving significant results each time. Skorokhod stated that this training ground is a relic from the Soviet era and is very well known, even visible on Google Maps.

Skorokhod's criticism immediately triggered a larger wave of criticism within Ukraine, as relatives of Ukrainian soldiers and the soldiers themselves raised doubts about the safety of the rear training facilities and the strategies used to deploy these facilities.

Skorokhod called on the Ukrainian military command to reconsider the layout of training centers and training grounds to minimize losses. She believed that Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the front lines lack sufficient training, but sending them to train in places well known to the Russians is an unforgivable negligence.
