Reuters: Iran attacked Amazon data centers in the Persian Gulf region, causing failures in banking services across the entire area.
According to Reuters, two Amazon Web Services (AWS) facilities located in the UAE were directly damaged, while Bahrain's data center was affected due to the nearby attack. As a result, AWS cloud services in the region experienced outages.
This outage affected the digital infrastructure relied upon by banks and large enterprises along the Persian Gulf coast. Amazon Web Services has advised customers to temporarily migrate their operations to other regions to restore stable operation.
