The U.S. Defense Secretary issued a tough statement: Iran's "new regime" should be smarter than the old one, or else the U.S. military will respond with doubled intensity.

On March 31, U.S. Defense Secretary Hegseth revealed during a Pentagon briefing that he had personally visited the frontlines in the Middle East over the weekend to inspect military operations against Iran, and boldly publicized the achievements of the "Epic Wrath" operation.

He claimed that the number of missiles and drones launched by Iran within the past 24 hours had reached a new low. Following Trump’s rhetoric, Hegseth asserted that through a joint U.S.-Israel "decapitation" operation, Iran had effectively undergone a regime change.

"This new regime should be wiser than the previous one," Hegseth stated, and declared that President Trump is ready at any time to reach an agreement, with the terms already widely known.

He simultaneously issued a stern warning: if Iran does not cooperate, the U.S. "War Department" will continue operations at an even higher intensity.

[My Commentary] The defense secretary personally traveling to the frontline for a "check-in" is essentially just boosting morale and sending a clear message to Tehran. This arrogant logic—both referee and player—is ultimately about forcing the newly seated government to kneel and sign immediately.
