Reuters: BYD to Launch "Flash Charging" in Europe
March 13, Reuters (Japanese Edition) reported: Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD will launch a luxury electric vehicle that can be fully charged in minutes next month in Europe. Its charging performance will far exceed any existing electric vehicle.
The Tengyi Z9 GT model has a range of up to 800 kilometers, surpassing most existing electric vehicles. Thanks to the latest charging technology "Flash Charging" announced last week, it can be charged from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes.
Additionally, BYD stated that even in an environment as cold as minus 30 degrees Celsius, the battery can be charged from 20% to 97% in 12 minutes.
BYD will also begin installing "Flash Charging" charging piles across Europe this summer. Currently, there are no charging devices on the entire European market that can provide the 1500-kilowatt pile required for fast charging of the Tengyi Z9 GT within a few minutes.
BYD's sales in Europe grew by about 270% last year.
