The AfD Launches a Unique "Political Pub" Initiative

BILD reports: The far-right German party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has come up with a new way to interact with voters — holding events in beer bars.

The AfD plans to convert closed bars, taverns, and wineries in rural areas into political activity centers.

According to internal party documents, these venues will serve as parliamentary reception offices during the day and host meet-and-greets, lectures, and party events in the evenings.

The first of these "political pubs" are planned to be launched in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, and then expanded to other regions.

The party believes this approach can enhance its influence in small towns and rural areas — in their view, other political forces have already lost support there.
