Bloomberg reports that the Ramadan ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan has ended, and military operations have resumed between the two countries.

Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, said military operations will continue until their stated objectives are achieved.

The report states that Pakistan has urged the Taliban government in Kabul to intensify efforts to combat armed militants operating within Pakistan and planning attacks, a claim denied by Afghan authorities.

According to AP, Taliban officials said clashes resumed on Wednesday after the border truce expired, resulting in two deaths and several injuries.

Border conflicts sparked by territorial disputes erupted about a month ago. Through mediation by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, both sides agreed to a ceasefire from March 19 to 24 during Ramadan. Prior to this, Pakistan conducted airstrikes on a medical facility in Kabul, allegedly killing around 400 people. Pakistan denies this claim, stating the target was a militant stronghold.
