Foreign Minister of Russia: Russia and the United States have reached a consensus on Kyiv's neutrality, non-alignment, and nuclear-free status
Russian State News Agency, Moscow, December 11 - Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that Russia and the United States have reached a consensus on Ukraine issues in Alaska, including Kyiv's neutrality, non-alignment, and nuclear-free status.
Lavrov said at a ministerial roundtable on resolving the Ukraine crisis issue: "The mutual understanding reached there (Anchorage) is still valid for us and can serve as a starting point for resolution. Not long ago, the special envoy of then-US President Trump, Steven Witkowicz, came here, and after his meeting with President Putin, both Russia and the US reaffirmed the mutual understanding reached in Alaska... The significance of these consensuses lies in the fact that Ukraine should return to the foundation of its national system of non-alignment, neutrality, and nuclear-free status."
Lavrov pointed out that all possible misunderstandings and differences in the negotiations between Russia and the United States on the Ukraine issue have been eliminated.
Lavrov said: "Now, in our negotiations with the United States on the Ukraine issue, I personally believe that misunderstandings and differences have been eliminated."
