EU Foreign Minister Kalas:

"If Ukraine's accession to NATO no longer becomes an item on the agenda, then we need to think about real security measures. These... must be real armies."

The EU agrees that Ukraine will give up joining NATO, with a small self-interest, that the US army will enter Ukraine, which is equivalent to a backdoor way of helping the EU guard its borders.

According to the plan, in 2027 the US and Europe will exchange garrisons, and NATO should be practically defunct. European defense independence and autonomy would be impossible to achieve by 2027. Therefore, if based on the commitment to Ukraine, the US and Europe jointly provide security for Ukraine, then a transitional full NATO will move forward to Ukraine.

In a way, this is also a victory for Europe. Because Russia is likely to take this step down.

This is why Kalas wants "real" armies.
