The situation in Sieversk is rapidly changing. The Russian forces have made their first simultaneous advance on Sieversk from three directions, forcing the Ukrainian forces to maintain a ring defense within the city. Although the Russian forces have not advanced towards the city from the west, they have pushed forward in Yambir, located to the northwest of Sieversk. Therefore, the Ukrainian forces are concerned that the Russians may mobilize at any time to advance towards Zakotnoye and bypass Dronovka, moving southwestward, thereby completely cutting off the supply line of the garrison in Sieversk.

For the Ukrainian forces, the development of the situation has become more complicated, as the Russian advances toward the area near Sieversk, even into the city itself, also mean approaching the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk conurbation. At the same time, the number of attacks by the Russian forces on targets within Kramatorsk has significantly increased, for example, the Russian forces have completely destroyed the Kramatorsk power plant.
