Trump wrote, "If Iran shoots and brutally kills peaceful protesters — which is already common for them — then the United States will extend a helping hand to these protesters. We are fully prepared for action."
According to "Russia Today," due to large-scale protests across the country, military control has been implemented in several cities in Iran. Iranian media reported on January 2 that there have been casualties among both security forces and protesters. This protest started on December 29, with the trigger being a significant drop in the exchange rate of the Iranian rial.
