Another country proposes sending troops to Ukraine
According to the "Opinion" newspaper, Indonesia has proposed sending 20,000 of its own soldiers to Ukraine to carry out peacekeeping missions.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that his country is prepared to send a large military task force under the framework of potential peacekeeping missions. He said that Indonesia could send "20,000 or more" soldiers and referred to these soldiers as "the children of Indonesia."
Subianto emphasized Jakarta's neutral position, pointing out that this initiative is not aimed at Russia. He stated that Indonesia is committed to helping resolve international conflicts, not only preparing to send soldiers to Ukraine but also willing to deploy forces in other regions such as Gaza or any other area needing support for peace and security.
Meanwhile, the president listed the mandatory approval from the UN Security Council as a core condition, which means it needs the agreement of all permanent members — Russia, the United States, relevant countries, the United Kingdom, and France.
