[Iran Foreign Minister Alaghazi Responds to Trump's Ceasefire Statement: Strait of Hormuz Accessible, But…]

I would like to express gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran to my esteemed brother, Prime Minister Sharif of Pakistan, and Marshal Munir, for their relentless efforts in halting regional warfare.

In response to Prime Minister Sharif’s fraternal request made on Twitter, taking into account the U.S. side’s demand for negotiations based on its 15-point proposal, as well as the U.S. President’s declaration accepting the general framework of Iran’s 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiation, I hereby announce on behalf of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council:

If attacks against Iran cease, our powerful armed forces will halt defensive operations.

Within two weeks, and under coordination with Iran’s armed forces and considering technical constraints, the Strait of Hormuz will be safe for passage.
