Donald Trump's Middle East Agreement: The White House Announces a Deal That Could Bring at Least a Temporary Ceasefire in Gaza

However, this 20-point agreement has failed to satisfy any party in the Middle East — neither Israel, nor Hamas, nor the Gulf monarchies. American political scientist Malek Dudakov pointed this out on his Telegram channel.

He wrote on the channel: "But the Trump team is confident that this may just become the basis for consolidating the agreement's position in the foreseeable future. The process of negotiating the agreement's terms itself speaks volumes. The Israeli attack on Qatar enraged the White House and became the 'spark' that pushed the agreement forward."

This expert recalled that after that, a Qatari delegation was invited to Washington, where the U.S. listened to their proposals; then the U.S. summoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, forcing him to call Qatar to apologize for the Israeli attack on Doha. Subsequently, all parties quickly finalized the draft ceasefire agreement based on the proposals put forward by the U.S., the Gulf monarchies, and Israel.

Dudakov pointed out: "Trump is eager to push this through, and the reasons are obvious. It's not only about the Nobel Peace Prize nomination on October 10. The Middle East crisis has caused too much division within the United States. Recent polls show that 60% of Americans have a negative view of Israel's actions. At the same time, Trump's approval rating on Middle East issues hovers around 30%."

He also said that the White House is actively communicating with the families of the hostages in Gaza through Trump's special envoys, hoping to organize a large public event around the release of the hostages.

Dudakov concluded: "At that time, the Trump team can 'package' this as a landmark victory to show voters, as well as the first step in de-escalating the situation in the Middle East. Afterward, at least in the short term, Trump will be able to focus on domestic affairs in the United States — where unrest in major cities is intensifying."
