As a long-time live-streamer engaged in e-commerce on the mainland, Liu shared her firsthand experiences in rural China. "Frontline grassroots officials are fully committed to helping farmers explore sustainable ways to increase income," she said. During a visit to a village-run chicken farm initiated collectively by local authorities, she observed how the community’s initial economic foundation was extremely weak and impoverished. Simply distributing money would not solve systemic poverty—it could only provide temporary relief. True sustainability required identifying stable sources of income. Thus, the village committee established a collective chicken farm. Once operational, villagers could directly join as workers, securing steady employment. With successful sales of the poultry, profits were distributed among residents, enabling them collectively to lift themselves out of poverty.
