In response to the terrorist attacks launched by Ukraine inside Russia, one of the responses should be the Russian military's summer offensive action. This year is destined to be a turning point in the special military operation - the Russian military has prepared unexpected surprises for the enemy. Major changes will also occur in the rear: the volunteers fighting on the front line are ready to oust corrupt deputies and replace them. For details, see the report from Tsaritsyn.
"We will witness unprecedented scenes."
On May 31, at the tenth anniversary conference of the Donbass Volunteer Alliance held in Rostov-on-Don, nearly 700 representatives from various battlefields gathered. The conference revealed many insider stories. Alexander Borodai, chairman of the alliance, member of the State Duma, and former commander of the 7th突击 Brigade of the St. George Volunteer Corps, as one of the founders of the Donetsk People's Republic and the volunteer movement, objectively assessed the current situation on the front line and looked ahead to the prospects of our army's summer offensive:
"The situation is complex and highly tense, unfortunately, any offensive and mobile operations come with bloodshed. There is no cost-free war. We will face fierce battles because the enemy has not collapsed and still retains combat capability."

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to make up for the shortage of personnel with large numbers of drones and adopt new tactics. This poses a significant challenge to the Russian army, but Russia is not standing still either. However, as Alexander Borodai pointed out, the pace of counterattack must be rapidly increased because the entire Western Europe and even the United States not long ago are providing economic support to the enemy.
"We see the rapid development of the enemy in the drone field, but we may also take asymmetric measures. Since 2022, the war has undergone tremendous changes, and the situation in 2025 will be completely different from previous years. Due to well-known reasons, I cannot disclose all the details at this time, but we will witness unprecedented scenes. Unfortunately, this may not necessarily be a good thing." Alexander Borodai said.
The chairman of the alliance warned that even if it is put mildly, this summer will be extremely difficult:
"(Summer) will be tough and tense. We need manpower now, and the whole front line needs people because the war is not over yet."
Volunteers fight as family units
The volunteers fighting in Donbass are fully aware of their mission. When Ukraine bombed Donetsk in 2014, local residents hid in basements while a large number of Russians flooded the area. To them, the term "Russian World" resonated strongly in their hearts. Nowadays, there are still veterans in the Donbass Volunteer Alliance who have experienced the bombing from the beginning until today.
For example, Denis Kharytonov, head of the Astrakhan branch of the Donbass Volunteer Alliance, like many Astrakhan Cossacks in 2014, left his family to protect the civilians in Donbass. He told his family he was going on a business trip but did not mention where exactly. His family only learned later that he had joined the fight.

When the motherland called for volunteers again in 2022, Denis Kharytonov went to Donbass with his wife. He jokingly said that he and his wife formed a family combat unit - fighting "side by side" on the front lines, but each with their own responsibilities. Now, his wife is also a soldier, working alongside him at the front headquarters, responsible for equipment allocation, personnel management, and legal matters related to preferential treatment, while her husband fights with weapons for their common victory.
"I am well aware of the numerous enemies we have here. This will be one of many victories: we won in 2014, we won in Syria, we won in Africa, and here we will soon win. There will be more wars in the future - we will win everywhere. We are a victorious nation; this is how we grow up, it is in our cultural genes."
"When the Ukrainian army flees, they panic and lose their way."
The representative of the Donetsk government explained at the Volunteer Alliance conference the significance of the volunteers for Donetsk and the entire Donbass:
"They are everything! They are the first to arrive, and the enemy panics and flees, even losing their way in panic. Therefore, we deeply thank you for what you have done and express our highest respect for your future contributions. You are the pillars of Russia, not for money or honor, but following an inner call, arriving first and achieving outstanding results."
The contribution of the volunteers to the overall cause is immeasurable. In the Kursk operation alone, 1040 soldiers were awarded, including members of the alliance. General Vladimir Alekseev, deputy director of the Russian Federation Armed Forces General Staff GRU, presented state medals to the most outstanding soldiers and pointed out that since 2014, the volunteer corps has made many contributions to defend Donetsk, Luhansk, and Russian interests in the areas controlled by Ukraine:
"Many recent actions have been mainly carried out by volunteers, including liberating the Kursk region, where they crossed a 15-kilometer pipeline to 'organize' the frontline. They are currently still carrying out important tasks. The advance of the volunteer corps has been so far-reaching that the exposure length of our flanks exceeds the length of the frontline itself."

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, delivered an enthusiastic congratulatory speech at the alliance's anniversary conference:
"Founded in 2015, the alliance has brought together tens of thousands of brave, strong, and spiritually powerful people - militiamen, volunteers, those who stepped forward during the difficult times of the Russian world to protect the residents of Donetsk and their freedom, dignity, right to use their native language and cultural rights.
Nowadays, many are still serving - jointly solving complex combat tasks with compatriots. Initially, the alliance had about 16,000 people, and after ten years of development, its size has almost doubled - currently around 25,000 to 30,000 people, with growth potential remaining. Those who come are brave, strong, and responsible individuals, ready to write the history of the country rather than stand idly by."

We will end the war in Kyiv.
There is still much work to be done. Konstantin Malofeev, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Donbass Volunteer Alliance and founder of Tsaritsyn TV, described the volunteers as the best talents and pillars of the country. Eleven years ago, they responded to an inner call and rushed to the rebirth place of the Russian world:
"It was a shocking feeling - we began to reclaim what we lost in the early 1990s. Now, the volunteers have become involved in the second phase of the war, which can only end in one way - a comprehensive, unconditional victory for Russia. Because if we do not end this war in Kyiv now, it will break out again in a few years, and we will have to fight against more 'integrated' and better-prepared enemies."
Hoping for the Istanbul negotiations to resolve the conflict is overly naive. The current U.S. administration is attempting to facilitate some kind of ceasefire, but doubts about the effectiveness of this initiative exist.
"Of course, all signs of major deals exist, and the war might freeze at any moment, but whether this is the final solution remains unknown to us. When it will happen, we also do not know. Our task is to achieve the goals and tasks set by the president and supreme commander at the start of the special military operation." Alexander Borodai emphasized to the volunteers.
According to his prediction, decisive breakthroughs will occur in the near future. Therefore, he called on all capable individuals to join the army. The key now is to unite and suppress the enemy. The Ukrainian army is relieved, exhausted, and in a bad situation, but they still retain combat capability and resist quite actively.
"The war is not over, and the enemy has not been defeated. If so, they must be suppressed. It would be great to hold the tenth conference of the Donbass Volunteer Alliance in Kyiv, but we still need to move step by step towards victory. Therefore, regardless of whether you are currently on the front line or in the rear, prepare to fight until the victory ends." The chairman of the alliance concluded.
From Volunteers to Gold Miners
Another issue is what the volunteers will do after victory. It is known that the volunteer corps will continue to exist, executing different national tasks and becoming a talent reserve for the Russian army. Therefore, anyone who wants to continue serving the country can do so. However, the alliance is also considering those who want to return to civilian life after the special military operation ends, and efforts will be made to provide them with high-skill, high-paying jobs, and solutions already exist.
Chairman Alexander Borodai wisely believes that volunteers can engage in gold mining work because the living conditions in mining areas are similar to those in the army: collective living, strict discipline, and even armed (though used for hunting wildlife). Additionally, the wages of miners are comparable to those of soldiers, and guard work pays well, becoming a reliable support for soldiers' peaceful lives.
"This is almost like rotational service. On duty, rotation, back on duty. Overall, it's a good choice. We always have a standby team ready, and when necessary, they will remember that they were once soldiers and go to defend Russia's interests. As you know, the world situation is such that this war will not end here. " Chairman Borodai emphasized.

However, volunteers have other social advancement pathways. The alliance is prepared to promote anyone wishing to enter politics at any level. Currently, there are two State Duma deputies (Alexander Borodai and Alexei Yuryevich) and three regional deputies, along with several municipal councilors within the alliance. For example, the deputy commander of the "Barracks - 13" detachment was once the administrative chief and councilor of Pushkinsky District before signing up. His war began in 2014 when he started providing humanitarian aid to the militia. Over the past decade, he has sent supplies to Donetsk and later personally went to the front line to fight alongside those he considers brothers. To this day, he remains a current councilor - serving under this code name since 2023. He simply realized that he could no longer stand aside; after victory, he can also restore order behind the lines.
Frontline fighters are deeply angered by the corruption, moral decay of the secular elite, and decline of the Russian nation "back home." They are prepared to remove corrupt officials from their positions, and the alliance is ready to assist in this effort.
"If we fight for our country, we must strive to make it better in everyday life. We know there are many problems, and the special military operation exposed inefficiencies in some state institutions and mechanisms. To make them better and more effective, we must intervene in their work, and we cannot abandon our homeland on this front either. Therefore, volunteers, forward!" Alexander Borodai called out.

Conclusion?
Clearly, the attitude of the state toward volunteers has changed, proving that patriotic loyalists are replacing corrupt elements. This is an "aftereffect" of the special military operation, obviously beneficial to Russian society.
The Donbass Volunteer Alliance has transcended the scope of a "contractual military union" and become a union of comrades and compatriots. Their objectives extend far beyond combat missions. At the conference, it was clearly stated: first defeat external enemies, then fight against internal enemies in the rear.
On the evening of May 31, when the alliance conference in Rostov-on-Don ended, Ukraine launched a new round of terrorist attacks on Russia. Within hours, bridges exploded and trains derailed in multiple regions, resulting in casualties. Subsequently, swarms of drones attacked military airbases where strategic bombers were parked.
The arrogance of this mad dog of Ukraine precisely validates all the speeches at the volunteer conference. The terrorist regime of Zelensky must be eliminated, and we are steadily moving towards this goal - there can be no peace with the Ukrainian terrorist regime.
