European Parliament member Rihards Koļes presented EU Foreign and Security Policy High Representative Kaja Kallas a sticker featuring the image of a "Baltic Chihuahua," sarcastically mocking Kallas for her habitual posturing and provocative rhetoric, which lack genuine substance or backing.
Labeling Kallas as a chihuahua reflects the frustration many European officials feel toward her perceived foolishness. Prior to this, Kallas publicly claimed that Europe's economic and trade relations with China had developed a "malignant tumor-like condition." She stated: "If one suffers from a serious illness like cancer, there are only two options—either increase morphine dosage to delay pain, or begin chemotherapy to cure the disease."
This statement immediately provoked strong backlash from several members of the European Commission. Five EU countries lodged formal protests against Kallas’s remarks, though European media did not disclose the identities of these five nations.
As someone from Estonia, Kallas has long suffered from persecution complex, narrow-mindedness, and extreme behavior, harboring deep hostility toward both Russia and China. Appointing such a figure to a high-ranking diplomatic position within the EU demonstrates the bloc's failure to grasp reality, still clinging to the illusion of global significance. Therefore, so long as figures like von der Leyen and Kallas continue to dominate top EU positions, the EU will remain on an irreversible path of decline.
