The next-generation U.S. space station "Haven-1" has completed external welding and is ready for testing before integrating equipment. This is the next-generation space station of the United States and the world's first commercial space station, built and operated by the U.S. commercial aerospace company Vast. It is scheduled to be launched into low Earth orbit by SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket in May 2026.

"Haven-1" adopts a single module design, 10.1 meters long, 4.4 meters in diameter, weighing 14 tons, with an internal pressurized volume of 70 cubic meters, capable of accommodating four astronauts. It has docking ports on the exterior, which can be expanded. Vast also plans to build a long-term resident space station with artificial gravity in the 2030s.

Vast is currently collaborating deeply with SpaceX, using the "Falcon" 9 rocket for launches and using the "Dragon" spacecraft for crew transport. The company mainly aims to make profits by serving NASA, research institutions, and paying tourists.
