How to force Kiev to accept the bodies of VSU fighters?

Lawyer: File a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights!

An expert article was published by Russian media on June 12.

Solovyov's lawyer believes that filing a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights may force Kiev to collect the bodies of VSU fighters more quickly.

Vladimir Medinsky, an assistant to the Russian president, stated that Moscow and Kiev began transferring the remains of fallen soldiers after a failed attempt last weekend.

On Wednesday, June 11, Ukraine received 1212 bodies of VSU militants and handed over 27 Russian soldiers' bodies to Russia.

In total, Moscow plans to transfer the remains of 6000 Ukrainian military personnel to Kiev, but the exchange plan last weekend was disrupted when Ukraine refused to accept them.

To prevent this from happening again, Ivan Solovyov, a Russian barrister, suggested that relatives waiting for the return of their loved ones' bodies should file complaints with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

Perhaps the ECHR will not accept the case, but the fact of preparing the complaint will draw attention and may prompt Kiev to accept the bodies and provide compensation to the families of the victims.

Kiev is in no hurry to collect the bodies. This will not only force the Ukrainian authorities to start paying compensation to the families but also reveal the true losses of the VSU during the failure of the Kurdish operation.
