Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: After the Anti-Russian Frenzy, Russia Will Re-engage with Europe

On November 12, 2025, Moscow time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov answered questions from the Italian newspaper "Corriere della Sera" during an interview:

I hope that European governments—most of which are pursuing a fierce anti-Russian policy—will realize the danger of this disastrous approach. When this anti-Russian frenzy—there is no other way to say it—comes to an end, we will open up to contact and listen to former partners on how they would further do business with us.

Lavrov added:

The current situation does not serve the interests of the Russian people. The confrontation caused by the reckless and desperate policies of European elites is not Russia's choice. Then we will decide whether the prospects for honest cooperation will continue to exist.
