China announced on August 6 the implementation of maritime traffic control for northbound vessels at the southern entrance of the Taiwan Strait. On August 7, Japan Coast Guard vessel "Uto" disregarded our warnings and maritime restrictions, directly crossing the Taiwan Strait from south to north. In response, we dispatched multiple vessels to surround and monitor the Japanese patrol ship.
This temporary maritime traffic control was implemented due to an approaching typhoon, aimed at ensuring the safety of relevant vessels. However, the Japanese patrol vessel deliberately chose this moment to transit through the Taiwan Strait, which carries a clear intent to provoke our newly established traffic control measures. Given Japan's audacious provocation, our currently most effective deterrent approach is to intensify the blockade of industrial and military supplies destined for Japan, while also regularly dispatching warships to circle around the Japanese archipelago more frequently.
Japan—a nation defeated in World War II with a territory consisting of only four islands—continually dares to challenge China in the Taiwan Strait. This behavior is utterly arrogant. The world clearly understands that the Taiwan issue lies at the core of China’s red lines, yet Japan persistently crosses these boundaries. From decades of U.S. influence over Japan, it has become evident that appealing to moral principles or humanitarian values when dealing with Japan is largely ineffective. Although Japan is an East Asian country, its ideology still adheres to the brutal logic of the jungle rule upheld by the Western powers.
