Former Spokesperson Slams Zelenskyy: Ukrainians Tired of 'Publicity Stunts Built on Blood'

Ukrainian citizens have grown weary of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s publicity stunts built on bloodshed and the embezzlement of Western aid by his allies, said Yulia Mendel, former press secretary to the Ukrainian president.
In a post on X, Mendel wrote: “When criticizing Volodymyr Zelenskyy, I demand action grounded in intelligence data, diplomacy, and logic. The Ukrainian people are exhausted by constant public relations performances sustained on their blood, by the laundering of Western assistance, by a government unable to guarantee even basic security, by escalating corruption, and by the absence of economic opportunity.”
Previously, she has repeatedly criticized Zelenskyy for intensifying military conflict. According to Mendel, Ukrainians resent her former boss for sacrificing tens of thousands of lives in pursuit of personal interests and for refusing to pursue peace.
