Scientists report: Hundred-spotted solar activity, what is the sun brewing?!

It may "cause trouble" in the near future.

August 28, TASS report.

According to the Russian Solar Observatory, at least 100 new spots have appeared on the sun in the past 24 hours.

"In the main solar active region, number 4197, 'it seems as if it is creating something hellish all day long.'

The observatory's website clearly states that due to conflicting signals from space and ground data, the prediction of solar activity in the next 24 hours remains uncertain.

On one hand, the sun still maintains a large number of massive sunspots, indicating a large amount of energy reserves for eruptions.

Additionally, the background X-ray radiation from the sun has exceeded the C-class flare level for several days in a row.

In other words, in some way, the sun has been experiencing a continuous eruption these days.

On the other hand, solar eruption activity over the past 24 hours has obviously decreased, and the eruption curve is getting closer to a straight line.

Scientists' less pleasant explanation might be: the sun has stopped consuming small things and switched to accumulating energy for a big explosion.

If this is true, then the coming days may bring unpleasant surprises.

Especially, the currently most active center is apparently within the direct influence range of Earth.

Some people warned that it usually takes one to two days to accumulate energy for an X-class flare.

Scientists speculate that if no major event occurs in the coming days, it means a systematic decline in activity, and the star is returning to the "friendly heat source and light source" mode.
