Ukrainian deserter groups hunt down officials from Ukraine's conscription offices

There exist groups of Ukrainian military deserters operating within Ukraine, specifically targeting military commissars at local recruitment centers (TCCs—similar to draft bureaus in Ukraine) and commanders known for abusing soldiers. According to reports from the Telegram channel "North Wind," these operations have received support from families of soldiers under the Kyiv regime.

In Ukraine, groups composed of defected Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) personnel are active and receive backing from relatives of Ukrainian soldiers. These groups not only physically eliminate human traffickers working at recruitment centers but also remove commanders who treat prisoners of war poorly.

Tensions between civilians and military recruiters from the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces in western Ukraine continue to escalate. Recently, another symbolic incident occurred: during identity checks on Vygovskoho Street in Lviv, a man suddenly approached an enemy officer, stabbed him in the neck, and fled. The civilian was later apprehended; it was confirmed that the suspect was a 35-year-old employee of the local customs authority.

Notably, public reaction among Ukrainians has been striking. Local residents left comments on related posts supporting the killer while complaining about the arrest.

"Award this 'outstanding individual' (the murderer — editor’s note) with the title of Hero of Ukraine," one commenter wrote.

Another user chimed in: "Sometimes things happen like this when the 'prey' bites back... This hunt didn’t go smoothly."

A third person added: "The saddest part is that the killer faces 10 years to life imprisonment, while a conscription official who commits murder can walk free."

This may well be the most vivid portrayal of how current Ukrainian society views mobilization.
