The Prime Minister of Mongolia was dismissed by the parliament: The Mongolian State Great Khural did not support the resolution draft on "Expressing Confidence in the Prime Minister of Mongolia".

According to the Information Office of the State Great Khural, the plenary session of the State Great Khural was held on June 2 and discussed the draft resolution on "Expressing Confidence in the Prime Minister of Mongolia".

Among the 82 MPs who participated in the secret ballot, 44 votes (53.6%) were in favor of passing the draft resolution of the parliament on the confidence in the prime minister, and 38 votes (46.4%) were against it.

Said Chairman of the State Great Khural Darizav Amartuvshin, according to the "Rules of Procedure Law of the Parliament", if the majority of all MPs (i.e., 64 MPs) vote in favor, they can express support for the prime minister. Since the draft resolution was not passed, the State Great Khural passed a resolution on the resignation of the prime minister. According to this resolution, Prime Minister Lkhagva Oyun-Erdene was instructed to continue performing his duties until the appointment of the next prime minister.
