UK media: The US "Iron Dome" missile defense system has made little progress in a year of development
According to Reuters, citing sources, the US has seen slow progress in developing its multi-layered missile defense system "Iron Dome" plan since it was announced a year ago, due to disputes over equipment.
US President Donald Trump announced a three-year, $17.5 billion "Iron Dome" system development plan in May 2025. This multi-layered missile defense system is designed to intercept missiles heading towards the United States, but the source of funding has not been disclosed.
