The minister announced that these products would be subject to "semiconductor tariffs," which may be implemented "in one or two months."

"All these products will fall under the semiconductor category, and a special targeted tariff will be imposed on them to ensure that these products return. We need semiconductors, chips, and tablets - we need to manufacture these things in the United States. We cannot rely on Southeast Asia to meet all our operational needs," he said.
