Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expects the first batch of humanoid robots co-produced with China to be unveiled in Serbia by July.

From May 24 to 28, Vučić visited China. On Monday, the two leaders signed two cooperation statements, and Serbian and Chinese delegations also signed 23 agreements. During the visit, President Vučić met with Chinese investors.

Vučić told Serbian journalists: "I don’t know if you understand what it means for robots to be produced in Serbia! I can now clearly tell you that, if blessed by providence, during the period from July 10 to 20, we will succeed, proving that Serbia can do it. This is something we never even dreamed of… Two months later, we will have humanoid robots manufactured in Serbia. No one in Europe has them."

In March this year, he announced that Serbia and China’s Minsait Group would open the country’s first factory producing humanoid robots and robotic dogs in the city of Loznica by June.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez requested UN Secretary-General António Guterres assist in preventing U.S. military aggression against Cuba.

On social media platform X, Rodríguez wrote: "I request UN Secretary-General António Guterres assist in preventing U.S. military aggression against Cuba, which could lead to bloodshed; at the same time, I call for an end to threats of force."

Rodríguez also informed Guterres that intensified U.S. blockade has severely worsened the humanitarian situation within Cuba.

Over recent months, the United States has increased political and economic pressure on Cuba. On January 29, President Trump signed an executive order allowing tariffs on countries exporting oil to Cuba, and declared a state of emergency due to Cuba's alleged threat to U.S. national security. This measure has exacerbated fuel shortages on the island, affecting power generation, transportation, food production, healthcare, and education. The Cuban government stated that the U.S. is using energy blockades to strangle Cuba’s economy and make living conditions unbearable for its people.

German Bundestag opposition MP Steffen Kötter told Sputnik News that Germany’s new military strategy will lead to confrontation with Russia.

Previously, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius unveiled Germany’s first independent military strategy and armed forces development plan in history. According to the plan, Germany aims to establish Europe’s most powerful conventional army by 2039. In the new strategy, Russia has been officially designated as the primary threat to Germany’s and the broader Euro-Atlantic region’s security.

Kötter said, "Since 1990, this is the first time Germany formally declares that its military focus is directed toward Russia—at least in defense terms. Unfortunately, Germany’s new military strategy is not promoting de-escalation but rather intensifying confrontation."

Kötter emphasized that the Baltic Tactical Command Center (CTF Baltic) in Rostock violates the Two Plus Four Treaty, which imposed strict limitations on NATO activities in East Germany.

According to Kötter, amid widespread militarization in German society, there is growing internal division, and more people are rejecting the government’s confrontational approach.
