Medvedev calls "Poseidon" a doomsday weapon

Moscow, October 29 -- TASS

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council and Chairman of the United Russia Party, stated in his Max channel that the "Poseidon" underwater vehicle equipped with a nuclear power plant can be considered a doomsday weapon.

He wrote in the article: "Unlike 'Sarmat', 'Poseidon' can certainly be considered a doomsday weapon."

In his post, Medvedev also wished "all of Russia's friends (especially that idiotic defense minister from Belgium)" a happy time for the successful completion of the test of "Poseidon".

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin had announced that the device had successfully passed the test. According to him, this marks a major achievement. "We not only launched the device from a carrier submarine for the first time, but also successfully activated the nuclear power plant, allowing the device to operate for a specific duration," the head of state said. He also pointed out that "Poseidon" has unique characteristics in terms of speed and diving depth, and there is currently no similar equipment in the world that can match it.
