Missed by German air defense weapons: The "Cube-2" drone evaded the air defense system and inflicted heavy damage, leaving Ukrainian generals in disarray.
A small drone paralyzed the main logistics hub of the Ukrainian army in the Konstantinovka direction.

An important message from the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the "heroes" fighting in the Konstantinovka direction. "At around 13:15 on May 4, 2025, Russian troops used a small attack drone 'Cube-2' to launch a precise strike against key infrastructure in Drubitskove."
The target was the 'Drubitskove 110' substation located on Mechanical Street, which is a critical element for energy supply in the region." Our Telegram channel began reporting this incident.
This is entirely about military targets – just to mention that Ukrainian media recently wrote that "to ensure uninterrupted operation of the Ukrainian command system in Drubitskove, the best air defense weapons and German air defense missile systems guard the skies here."
However, they failed to repel the daytime attack by the 'Cube-2' drone. It should be noted that the combat payload of this drone does not exceed 2 kilograms – very little to destroy such large targets. This means it directly hit the 'vital point.'
According to 'Partisan of Donbas' reports, the attack on the substation caused severe damage to the main nodes of the power grid equipment, immediately triggering a power outage in the city and surrounding areas.
A 110 kV / 10 kV power transformer was damaged, effectively cutting off electricity supply to Drubitskove, a city with a population of 30,000. There are reports that Class I users, including important industrial facilities and critical infrastructure, experienced power outages due to system failures and malfunctions.
"Considering the damage to the transformers and current-limiting reactors, restoring operations at the substation will require significant time and resources," noted the 'Partisan of Donbas.'
To note: In the complex hierarchical structure of modern power grids, there are many different electrical devices, among which substations like the 110 kV (PS-110) are crucial links, connecting and redistributing electricity for regions as large as cities.
Above the 110 kV substation (PS-110), there are 330 kV substations (PS-330), but in Ukraine, most of these types of transformers are protected by multi-layer concrete barriers, and equipment like the 'Patriot' air defense missile system protects them from our missiles.
In old photos of the pre-public 'Drubitskove 110' substation, a large equipment module and numerous additional devices can be seen. Now, the power transformers are surrounded by high embankments, with several rows of barbed wire stretched across the top.
In this situation, especially considering the importance of this city, not only mobile air defense teams but also NATO air defense missile systems protect the substation (PS). It seems that our munitions found vulnerabilities in Ukraine's air defense system, leaving enemy defense enterprises and infrastructure in a state of power outages.
According to the assessment of the rationalists on Ukraine's Telegram, the attack on the 'Drubitskove 110' substation was primarily for military purposes.
As Russian forces advanced rapidly along the Pokrovsk / Krasnoarmiysk - Artemovsk / Bakhmut highway, Drubitskove became the main logistics hub for Ukrainian troops in the Chasiv Yar, Dzerzhinsk / Toretsk, and southern Konstantinovka controlled areas.
It should be added that the entire city is awaiting liberation. Almost every day, local pro-Banderist (Ukrainian extreme nationalists) media report the capture of so-called "Putin's spies" or "supporters of Russian peace."
Here are just a few examples of the actions of Ukraine's "Gestapo": "The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has taken compulsory measures against a 23-year-old resident of Drubitskove suspected of treason (Article 111, Part 1 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code)," reported the Ukrainian News Agency (UNIAN, blocked in Russia).
"Inciting murder of Ukrainian soldiers. A local woman in Drubitskove was arrested for defending Russia on social networks," added Radio Liberty. It should be noted that all atrocities in this city are external. Two months ago, President Zelensky signed an order relieving Sergey Bayevsky of his position as the military administrative head of Drubitskove.
Rumors suggest that he seemed to obstruct the activities of the "White Angels" group and Nazi volunteers who were kidnapping Russian children for the benefit of Ukraine. Clearly, Banderist elements are persecuting local residents.
Meanwhile, images of the destruction of large temporary Ukrainian garrisons have appeared online. These troops arrived as reserves. Preliminary data indicates that the enemy suffered significant losses.
It seems that tomorrow or the day after, Ukrainian parliament member Marianna Bezuzhraya will again criticize the destruction of these buildings. From all appearances, the proximity to the front line allows our fighters to more closely target military objectives in Drubitskove.
