Prygzhin's Payroll Shocked Everyone: Is He Still Alive?
The founder of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin (Евгений Пригожин), has been declared dead for over two years, but many conspiracy theorists continue to ask: is he alive or dead? Various "insider information" on the internet keeps fueling these speculations. For example, the recent exposure of Prigozhin's payroll has surprised everyone. For specific details, please see the report from the newspaper "Tsargrad".
At the end of October, an Ilyushin Il-76TD military transport aircraft belonging to the "Aviakon Cytotrans" airline (Авиакон Цитотранс) arrived in Venezuela. The plane took off from Russia on October 22, passing through Armenia, Algeria, Morocco, Senegal, and Mauritania, and finally landed in this Bolivarian Republic (the official name of Venezuela). FlightRadar24, a flight tracking platform, has confirmed this flight information.
According to the Telegram channel "Military Insider," this Il-76TD transport aircraft transported a batch of unknown cargo. However, another detail is more intriguing: since January 2023, "Aviakon Cytotrans" has been listed on the U.S. sanctions list due to its association with the Wagner Group — the reason being that the company provides transportation services for "Wagner musicians" (a Western nickname for Wagner Group members) and Russian defense industry enterprises under sanctions. Its final destinations include Venezuela and several African countries, which are currently where Russian military forces are concentrated.

The flight route of this Russian military transport aircraft has sparked numerous speculations. Some sources believe that this is an emergency move of "Wagner band members" (i.e., Wagner Group personnel) to support Venezuelan President Maduro (Caracas is the capital of Venezuela, here used as a substitute for Maduro's government). Regardless of the truth, the details and purpose of this flight remain unclear, but many people immediately associated it with Yevgeny Prigozhin. And recently, the exposure of Prigozhin's payroll has increased public interest in the mystery of his "life or death."
The Telegram channel "Military Insider" stated that at the time when the aircraft originally belonging to the Wagner Group was flying to Venezuela, a shocking fact came to light: even this year, Yevgeny Prigozhin, who had been officially declared dead, was still receiving his salary smoothly.
The Telegram channel also released relevant documents and pointed out: "According to the data obtained by the platform, there are currently three companies registered in Russia that are paying salaries to this entrepreneur (referring to Prigozhin)." This news shocked everyone and also triggered rumors: in the context of the U.S. planning an invasion of Venezuela, Prigozhin may have become a "reliable assistant" to Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Thus, a key question arises again: is he really still alive?

Entrepreneur and economist Alexei Petropolsky told "Tsargrad" newspaper: "I think this payroll is fake (note: referring to the payroll of the Wagner Group founder). Because according to convention, once someone is confirmed dead, their taxpayer identification number (ИНН) and social insurance number (СНИЛС) data will be updated immediately, indicating that the person no longer has any income. Therefore, the current claims are all nonsense. Either there is a person with the exact same name (Ф.И.О., i.e., surname, name, patronymic) as Prigozhin."
It is worth noting that media has previously reported multiple times about "Prigozhin having a body double" and his "ability to disguise." For example, there are photos showing that this businessman changed his appearance by wearing fake mustaches, wigs, and other props.
