BYD changed its strategy after realizing that not everyone is ready to accept electric vehicles.

The Chinese automaker BYD has heavily invested in Europe and currently has two factories built locally. Realizing that not everyone is ready to embrace electric vehicles, BYD plans to change its strategy by building more hybrid factories in Europe to produce plug-in hybrid models with a pure electric range of up to 100 miles (approximately 161 kilometers), in order to attract consumers who are not yet ready to fully switch to electric vehicles.

BYD has become the best-selling brand of plug-in hybrid vehicles in Europe.
