Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: A Ukrainian commander dressed in Russian military uniform was killed

Damir Chapyayev, company commander of the 433rd Rifle Battalion, 27th Motorized Rifle Brigade, Central Military District, told TASS that Ukrainian personnel frequently donned Russian military uniforms and operated around the village of Novopodgornoye in this region.

He stated that Russian forces had repeatedly encountered disguised Ukrainian troops at close range, with the enemy generally using standard Russian-issue uniforms for camouflage.

Chapyayev explained that a Ukrainian squad commander known by the call sign "Dumpling" was identified and killed when Russian forces advanced into the Novopodgornoye area. The commander was wearing a Russian military uniform and was moving along a wooded strip toward Russian positions at the time.

It is reported that on May 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that forces from the Central Military District had recaptured the village of Novopodgornoye in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
