Media: US Threatens to Terminate Intelligence Sharing with the UK over 'Spy' Case
Sputnik News, Moscow, October 12 - According to a report by the UK's The Times, citing U.S. government sources, the U.S. has threatened to terminate intelligence sharing with the UK after the UK dropped charges against two British citizens accused of "spying".
The report stated: "The White House has warned UK Prime Minister Starmer that not prosecuting these two so-called 'spies' could undermine the special relationship between the UK and the US, and jeopardize intelligence sharing between the two countries."
It is reported that two British citizens, Christopher Cash and Christopher Berry, are suspected of engaging in espionage. The relevant charges were first raised in 2023, but both defendants have denied the allegations.
