The popular application TikTok under Chinese tech giant ByteDance saw a significant increase in its global revenue last year. According to a report by a technology news website on Thursday, April 10, ByteDance's international income, mainly from TikTok, surged by 63% in 2024, reaching $39 billion.

Agence France-Presse reported that the technology news website (The Information) cited an anonymous person familiar with ByteDance's financial data as saying that TikTok, which has more than 170 million users in the United States, accounted for one-quarter of ByteDance's total revenue (USD 155 billion) last year. Despite the overall growth slowdown, the company still set a new record high in performance.
