Philippine and US Air Forces Conduct Exercise Aimed at Enhancing Operational Coordination
Air Force Commander of the Philippine Air Force, Cordura, said that the Philippine Air Force and the US Air Force have commenced their annual exercise codenamed "Cope Thunder Philippines 2025", with the aim of enhancing operational coordination.
The exercise kicked off on Monday at Clark Air Base in Mabalacat City, Pampanga Province, and will continue until April 18. The military drill will take place at this base as well as other military installations.
The Philippine side has deployed 729 personnel, featuring FA-50PH and A-29B Super Tucano attack aircraft, as well as S-76A and S70i Black Hawk helicopters. The US side involves 250 personnel and 12 F-16 fighter jets.
It is reported that the air forces of Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Japan, and Indonesia will observe this exercise as observers.
