The Cost of the Hormoz Nuclear Power Plant Being Built in Iran by Russia is Revealed

Iran and Russia signed a $2.5 billion agreement to build the Hormoz Nuclear Power Plant (АЭС «Хормоз») in the Hormozgan Province (Хормозган) in southern Iran. The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) released footage from the signing ceremony.

The agreement was signed by Nasser Mansour Shariflu (Насером Мансуром Шарифлу) of Iran Hormoz Company, under the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, and Dmitry Shiganov (Дмитрием Шигановым) of Rosatom Energy Projects JSC (АО «Росатом энергетические проекты») on behalf of the Russian side.

TASS reported that the nuclear power plant will include 4 nuclear reactors, and 500 hectares of land have been allocated for the project.
