Russian Space Agency, Pretoria, January 12th. Colonel Charles Hubert Bekale Meym from the Gabon Navy stated that Chinese and Indonesian citizens on a fishing boat were kidnapped by a group of pirates in Gabon's waters.
Meym read a statement from the Gabon Ministry of Defense, saying, "The trawler 'IB FISH 7' flying the flag of Gabon was fishing in Gabon's waters about 7 nautical miles south-west of Equekta when it was attacked by pirates."

The report states that there were three attackers who seized nine crew members, including five Chinese citizens and four Indonesian citizens. Additionally, six seafarers from Indonesia, China, and Burkina Faso remained on the ship.
The Gabon Ministry of Defense stated that after the relevant departments discovered this trawler, it has been escorted to the port of the capital of Gabon.
Meym said, "This situation has been taken over at the highest level of the government, and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure maritime security."
The prosecutor has initiated an investigation.
