Total of the 29th Type 052D destroyer, "Suzhou warship" made its first appearance after being commissioned, the number has caught up with Su-57 again!

According to Japan's Ministry of Defense news on May 30, the new batch of China's Navy Type 052D destroyer No. 158 "Suzhou warship" and Type 054A frigate No. "Baoji warship" passed through the Miyako Strait and entered the Western Pacific for activities. It is uncertain whether they will join the "Liaoning aircraft carrier" task force that is currently training in the Western Pacific.

Entering the Western Pacific for training indicates that the Type 052D destroyer "Suzhou warship" has been officially commissioned before this. Therefore, this ship has also become a newly commissioned batch of Type 052D announced by us as another ship. Calculating from the public order, No. 158 "Suzhou warship" is the 29th Type 052D destroyer that our navy has publicly commissioned. It is also the third Type 052D destroyer of the new batch commissioned this year. The obvious feature of this batch of Type 052D destroyers is the replacement of X-band fast reaction radar at the top of the mast.

It is worth mentioning that in April this year, the Russian Aerospace Force received two new Su-57 stealth fifth-generation fighters. Therefore, the then production-type service quantity of Su-57 reached 29 (not including the one that crashed), surpassing the then publicly commissioned 27 Type 052D destroyers. With the 29th Type 052D "Suzhou warship" going out to the Western Pacific for long-distance training, it also shows that the service quantity of our navy's Type 052D destroyers has caught up with Su-57 fighter jets again.

In addition, apart from the three just publicly commissioned ones, it is expected that our navy can commission at least two more Type 052D this year. So whether Su-57's quantity can surpass Type 052D again this year remains unknown...
