US Treasury Secretary Bensont said that the president's announcement of an additional 10% tariff on Canada has not taken effect yet, indicating that these tariffs may ultimately not be imposed.

Bensont accused Canadian politicians of trying to interfere in American politics by airing anti-tariff ads.
