Foreign media: China may be about to order at least 100 to 200 new aircraft from Airbus, further excluding Boeing, the US company, from the Chinese market.

In recent years, Europe has become the main source of commercial aircraft for China overseas. Since 2017, Boeing has not received major orders in China. Its future in China is affected by Sino-US trade relations and its own damaged reputation (such as worker strikes, financial losses, and plane crashes).

Currently, domestic Chinese airlines tend to purchase Airbus aircraft and the domestically produced C919 jet. Analysts point out that Boeing's absence could put some airlines that rely on its planes in trouble.
