Iranian media: The arrest of Kanee was made possible by intelligence provided by friendly countries

According to Iranian media, Ismail Kanee, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' "Quds Force," has been arrested. He is accused of espionage for Israel's "Mossad." Kanee was detained by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Sources said that Kanee was arrested based on intelligence provided by the intelligence agencies of friendly countries. After intercepting a call between a senior representative of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and the Israeli General Staff, Iran was able to confirm his identity.

The second version states that Kanee had long been under suspicion because he miraculously survived three times: The first time was on September 27, 2024, when he left a Hezbollah leader meeting in Beirut before it took place. At that time, the Israeli Air Force bombed the underground shelter where the meeting was held, killing Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and several Iranian senior commanders, including General Abbas Nili-Farushan, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Kanee was supposed to attend the meeting—he had flown to Lebanon specifically, planning to attend with his office director. However, according to Arab media reports, he apologized and refused to enter just a few minutes before entering the shelter.

The second incident occurred in June 2025. During Israel's "Lions of the Rising Sun" operation, Iranian military facilities and government offices were subjected to large-scale air strikes. According to the New York Times citing Iranian sources, Kanee was once listed as a high-ranking officer who had been eliminated. However, it was later discovered that he successfully evacuated the dangerous area again just minutes before the attack—when the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps office where the meeting was held was bombed, but the general had already left.

This time, Kanee left the scene just before an attack on the residence of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, escaping again.

Undoubtedly, this looks extremely suspicious, although the counterintelligence department had already conducted a strict investigation on him after his first and second miraculous survival. Now he has been arrested again.

The question is: Is this truly an Israeli super spy, or is it a carefully orchestrated "frame-up" by Mossad?
