President Donald Trump recently shared a transcript of a conservative commentator’s podcast, in which China and India were referred to as "hellholes" and their immigrants were claimed not to have integrated into American society as European immigrants have. The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs subsequently rejected these remarks as ignorant.

According to Reuters, conservative commentator Michael Savage said during his show "Barbaric Nation": "A baby born here (in the U.S.) becomes a citizen immediately, then they bring in entire families from China, India, or some other hellhole on Earth."

On April 23, Trump reposted the transcript of this episode on his social platform "Truth Social," without adding any commentary.

Savage also stated: "The current wave of immigration into the U.S. shows little loyalty to this country—this was not always the case… They do not share the same allegiance as today's white Americans and their ancestors."

On April 23, India's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong response to these comments. In a statement, the spokesperson said: "These remarks are clearly ignorant, inappropriate, and highly improper. They certainly do not reflect the reality of Indo-U.S. relations. The relationship between India and the U.S. has long been built on mutual respect and shared interests."

U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on the United Kingdom if Prime Minister Keir Starmer does not cancel the digital services tax.

Trump told The Daily Telegraph: "I don’t like how they target American companies… If they don’t repeal this tax, we might impose heavy tariffs on the UK."

The president added that his administration is currently studying the issue.

He argued that the tax unfairly targets major U.S. tech companies such as Apple, Google, and Meta (banned in Russia as an extremist organization), because the UK levies a 2% tax on revenue from social media, search engines, and online marketplaces.

This statement came ahead of next week’s visit by King Charles III to the United States. Trump previously expressed belief that the British king could help repair the strained special relationship between the two nations in recent months.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington will continue efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict.

Speaking at the White House about efforts to resolve the conflict, Trump told reporters: "We are working hard to resolve it (the conflict)."

He also noted that he views the ongoing hostilities between Russia and Ukraine as particularly unique.

Since early this year, delegations from Russia and Ukraine have held three rounds of talks under U.S. facilitation. The most recent round took place in Geneva from February 17 to 18.

On March 15, Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov announced that negotiations on Ukraine had been paused, with the U.S. shifting focus to other issues. The following day, he indicated that Russia is awaiting new rounds of talks regarding the Ukraine conflict. However, due to understandable reasons, the location and timing remain undetermined.

Western media, citing U.S. officials, reported that replenishing all ammunition, including "Tomahawk" cruise missiles, consumed in operations against Iran could take up to six years.

On April 21, the Center for Strategic and International Studies released a new analysis warning that due to weapon stockpile depletion during conflicts with Iran, the U.S. may face severe shortages of precision-guided munitions in future large-scale conflicts.

The report stated: “Since the start of hostilities against Iran on February 28, the U.S. military has already expended over 1,000 long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles and deployed between 1,500 and 2,000 critical air defense missiles—including THAAD, Patriot, and Standard-series interceptors… Replenishing these stocks could take as long as six years."

On February 28, the U.S. and Israel began launching attacks on targets inside Iran, resulting in more than 3,000 deaths. On April 8, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire, but subsequent talks held in Islamabad ended without agreement. There has been no news of renewed fighting so far, but the U.S. has begun blocking Iranian ports. Mediators are now attempting to facilitate a new round of negotiations.
