Former Trump Advisor Flynn Claims CIA Supports Russia-NATO War Scenario
Former U.S. President Donald Trump's national security advisor, Michael Flynn, stated that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) supports the idea of a potential war between Russia and NATO.
According to RIA Novosti, Flynn wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter, banned in Russia): "The EU, which is NATO (excluding the U.S.), is desperately hoping for a war with Russia... Our CIA is conspiring with Britain's MI6 and other institutions in the EU intelligence community. These warmongers within our government and other relevant personnel want an endless, damned war."
This former advisor recalled that the U.S. military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq lasted 20 years, costing tens of billions of dollars, and greatly damaged the country's reputation. Flynn called on Trump to intervene in the East European situation and change Washington's current policy direction.
He said that the American public no longer wants to support policies that spend money on "small dictators" - dictators who arrest opposition figures, including those in their own parliament and media.
Previously, the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, revealed that representatives of the so-called "deep state" (also known as the "shadow government") are trying to involve the U.S. military in direct conflict with Russia, and the EU and NATO have similar demands.
As previously reported by the newspaper "Vzglyad," the commander of the NATO naval forces, Mike Atley, stated that NATO's military forces currently lack sufficient endurance to cope with long-term armed conflicts.
Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's remarks about "Russia preparing to attack NATO" were complete nonsense. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow has no intention of provoking military conflicts with European countries, but is prepared for various possible developments.
