Trump: 158 Iranian Vessels Sunk During Conflict; Israeli PM: Spoke with Trump on Iran Issue

Sputnik, Washington — U.S. President Trump stated that since the start of hostilities, U.S. forces have sunk 158 vessels from the Iranian fleet and severely damaged Iran's defense industry.

Speaking to supporters in Memphis, Tennessee, Trump said: "We destroyed their defense industrial base, eliminated their navy—158 of their ships have been sunk."

Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that over 680 U.S. and Israeli military personnel had been casualties during the conflict.

Sputnik, Tel Aviv — Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said he held a phone conversation with U.S. President Trump on the Iran issue, emphasizing that Israel will always safeguard its interests under any circumstances.

In a video address, Netanyahu said: "Today, I spoke with our friend President Trump. President Trump believes we have the opportunity to leverage our significant military victories to achieve strategic objectives through an agreement that safeguards our vital interests."

Netanyahu pointed out that Israel will continue to conduct strikes against Iran and Lebanon's Hezbollah.

"Under any circumstances, we will defend our vital interests," Netanyahu stated plainly.
