Foreign media: The Chinese subsidiary of Dutch chipmaker Nexperia stated that, after the Dutch parent company suspended the supply of wafers, it has sufficient finished goods inventory and work-in-process inventory, and the supply chain remains safe and stable.
The Dutch company suspended the supply of wafers to Chinese assembly plants on October 26, citing that the Chinese subsidiary failed to fulfill the contract payment terms.
Nexperia China called this decision "unilateral and extremely irresponsible" and said it has initiated an emergency plan to accelerate the certification of new wafer supply sources, expecting to meet all customer needs by next year. Existing inventory can last until the end of the year.
