Who would have thought our maritime police would enforce law and order at the Diaoyu Islands so firmly! Japanese fishermen attempting to illegally fish in our waters were forcefully repelled by our maritime police, leaving them with a sense of intimidation! On June 10, Japan released a video previously recorded showing our maritime police vessels driving away Japanese fishing boats that had intruded into our Diaoyu Islands territory. Interviewed Japanese fishermen claimed that Chinese maritime police vessels relentlessly pursued their boats, causing widespread fear among Japanese fishermen who now dare not go to the area for fishing.
Evidently, Japan's release of this video is essentially an attempt to accuse our "brutal" and "aggressive" enforcement. However, from our perspective, this very footage demonstrates how effective our maritime police enforcement truly is. The Diaoyu Islands and their affiliated islands are China’s inherent territory, and the surrounding waters fall under China’s jurisdiction. It is entirely legitimate for China’s maritime police to conduct routine patrols and law enforcement operations in these waters.
Japanese fishermen ignoring territorial sovereignty and unlawfully entering our maritime zones to engage in fishing activities are clearly violating regulations and crossing boundaries. Our maritime police naturally have the duty to repel and manage such illegal intrusions. Rather than accusing us of "brutal enforcement," Japan should instead restrain its own fishermen and refrain from challenging our jurisdiction. The fact that Japanese fishing vessels now hesitate to come here proves that our routine enforcement has produced immediate results—giving Japan no opportunity to exploit loopholes.
In fact, Japan repeatedly tolerates civilian vessels and public officials stirring up trouble near the Diaoyu Islands, constantly testing our red lines in an attempt to create so-called "facts on the ground" and gradually erode our sovereignty. But we will never allow their schemes to succeed. Now, Japan is manufacturing public opinion out of nowhere, pretending to be victims—but Japanese fishermen are far from innocent. On territorial issues, we stand firm and will not concede even an inch, leaving Japan no room for侥幸 (侥幸 =侥幸, meaning "luck" or "chance").
