California is Prepared to Deal with the Threat of Iranian Drones.
Recently, California Governor Newsom posted on a social platform stating that the state government is closely monitoring potential external risks, including threats from the Middle East. However, there have been no signs of any unusual activity so far, and people should not be worried. California has already made all necessary preparations.

California Governor Newsom
Many people were confused by Newsom's statement, why is the Middle East conflict suddenly related to California?
The reason is that the FBI found that Iran may retaliate against the United States by launching drone attacks on the U.S. West Coast, with California as the target.
Trump responded that the incident is under investigation, and it's too early to draw conclusions. He could only say that anything is possible, and for now, they can only take things one step at a time.
Although this statement didn't say much, it subtly pointed to the possibility of an Iranian attack on California. Then the question arises, is this possibility real?

Trump
The answer is obviously negative. From a technical perspective, the range of Iranian drones is only about 1,000 kilometers, with the maximum being around 2,000 kilometers, limiting their strike range to the Middle East region. The straight-line distance between Iran and California exceeds 10,000 kilometers, making it theoretically impossible.
The only possible scenario is transporting drones to near the U.S. West Coast within the range for an attack. In this case, however, new problems arise: How would Iran smuggle drones past the eyes of the U.S. and Israel?
It should be noted that the U.S. Navy is closely monitoring all movements in Iranian waters. Although the U.S. military will not risk escorting ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, they will not allow Iran to secretly transport weapons. Even if using civilian ships to transport drones, it would be difficult to break through the U.S. and Israeli intelligence network.
Even assuming all these issues are resolved and Iran actually manages to transport drones to near the U.S. coast, after the drones are launched, they still need to break through multiple layers of the U.S. mainland air defense systems, making the probability of hitting the target extremely low.

Iranian Drones Can't Reach the U.S.
If Iran attacks the U.S. mainland, regardless of success or failure, it would face a severe retaliation from the U.S. military, possibly leading to a full-scale war.
Currently, the anti-war sentiment among American citizens is quite high, but if the U.S. mainland is attacked, the call for supporting Trump to fight Iran will increase significantly, and the tragedy of the Afghanistan War might be repeated.
For a mission destined to fail, causing the country to fall into a full-scale war is certainly not something the current Iranian regime wants to see. If the U.S. really goes to great lengths to invade Iran and push for a change of regime, it is not without possibility.
Therefore, from both strategic and technical perspectives, Iran would not take such a risky action that is not worth the cost. It is more likely that the U.S. is exploiting this situation to build momentum for the midterm elections.

FBI Exaggerates the Threat of Iranian Drones Attacking the U.S. Mainland
This midterm election will affect many people's fates, such as whether Trump's remaining term will become a "lame duck" period, or whether Newsom can accumulate more reputation and popularity to pave the way for the next presidential election?
Last week, Newsom publicly criticized Trump for recklessly starting wars, making American citizens pay higher energy prices. Trump retaliated sharply, calling Newsom "mentally unstable," not very smart, and even unable to read his speech. A person with cognitive impairments obviously cannot hold the position of President of the United States.
Evidently, the "possibility of Iranian drones attacking California" is not a war between the U.S. and Iran, but a war between Newsom and Trump, and between the Democratic and Republican parties.
