Will the US Sell More Energy to China?
On October 30, U.S. Energy Secretary Rite told Bloomberg Television that there is a lot of room for mutually beneficial transactions between the U.S. and China.
He pointed out that the United States is the world's largest oil and natural gas
exporter, and China is the largest importer.
If China reduces its purchase of oil and natural gas from Russia, the United States is ready to sell more oil and natural gas to China.
The U.S. proposal probably has its own hidden agenda, not only to suppress Russian energy exports, but also to gain economic benefits, and to try to dominate in energy supply, in order to achieve its political purpose of maintaining its hegemonic position.
However, China has always kept a clear head on energy issues, and has always adhered to a diversified strategy, and will not be easily influenced by the U.S. hidden agenda.
