The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detroit Field Office recently announced that it has arrested a Chinese national, Wei Kaiyao (translated name), in Butler County, Ohio.
According to ICE, Wei Kaiyao was previously sentenced to three years in prison for sexual battery in Franklin County, Ohio, and served his sentence at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC).
The ICE statement said, "After completing his sentence, Wei Kaiyao was immediately transferred to ICE custody, avoiding the trouble of future law enforcement pursuit and saving taxpayers' money."
ICE described Wei Kaiyao as "a wolf in sheep's clothing." He is currently detained by ICE and awaits deportation.
